Gameplay Tips
- To keep people happy, make sure all six of their drives
are satisfied.
- You will have better success at talking to people if they are in
a good mood first.
- Most items depreciate with time, so selling
them will only get you a fraction of the original purchase price.
- You can unlock clothing, items and even new regions of the Mansion
by completing goals.
- You can view your goals on the Hef Screen.
- The quality of your magazine content
depends on the skills of the staff involved, the fame
of any celebrities involved, and some other factors depending on the
type of content.
- You need six pieces of magazine content
to publish a magazine. Articles can be requested from your Journalists.
Pictorials can be requested from your Photographers.
Centerfolds require a Photographer
and a Playmate. Essays
can be requested from any Celebrity. Interviews
require a Celebrity and a Journalist.
Cover Shots require a female Celebrity
and a Photographer.
- Some items satisfy multiple drives at
once. Experiment with a variety of items to see their effects.
- Certain items can increase the user's Skills
(Physique, Intellect
or Charm) permanently. Telling your staff
to use these items will increase the quality of the magazine
content they produce.
- When any character (even Hef) is talking
to someone of much higher fame, their conversation
is more likely to fail.
- The success of a party is based on how
many people are attending, and how high their moods
are. To throw better parties, invite more people or keep them happier.
- Items with a high Room Value will slightly
enhance the moods of everyone in the same
room.
- Always check your magazine demographic screen
at the beginning of the month.

Aesthetic Tips
- Consider adjusting the items in a room to match your needs in the
Photoshoot. Models will split their time
posing with the different items (beds, chairs,
sofas). If you are looking for a reclining centerfold,
stack the room with sofas and beds. If you're looking for a standing
centerfold, minimize the number of chairs.
- To improve the lighting in a photoshoot,
place a number of lights behind the camera.
By placing them off screen, you'll increase the light in a scene without
adding visual clutter to the shot.
- When entering a photoshoot, make sure
the setting works before taking any pictures. If you don't
take any photos, you can cancel out of the photoshoot,
adjust the scene and ask the same model to pose again. If you take
any photos, however bad they might be, that model will have fulfilled
her contract and won't pose again!
- Mixing floor types can add a ton of visual flare.
- Paintings and decorative
objects do matter.
